We welcome and value children and young people. And we are definitely not put off by children moving about or being noisy!
1st Sunday Traditional worship
2nd Sunday RISE All Age (St Mary’s): See below.
3rd Sunday Cafe Connections (vicarage): The children join in with the breakfast and during the ‘food for thought’ slot the children have their own activities.
4th Sunday Contemporary service (St Mary’s): The children stay in the main service for worship, testimonies, and family prayer time and can then choose between three zones (reflective, craft or active zones). There is also a dedicated under 5’s area which is available throughout this service.
If you would like further information about the children’s work at
St. Mary’s then please contact us through our contact page
Little Connections parent/carer and tots group runs on a Monday morning 9-11am at the Church Community Hall on Allen’s Hill, term time only. There are lots of toys, activities, Bible story and craft. Come along for tea, refreshments and a chat. (We ask for £1 donation per family.)
RISE (monthly All Age Service)
This runs on every 2nd Sunday morning of the month at 9.15am and starts with refreshments. Whilst we want St. Mary’s to be welcoming to all ages at every service, RISE is particularly accessible to children and their families. During refreshments there are a number of activity tables that the children can be involved with (including a science area), whilst adults can normally join in with a led Bible study, or simply enjoy the company of others. We believe children learn while doing and so the activities continue to run throughout the service time.
